about

Marina Poreč is located in Poreč, a small coastal town with rich history and cultural heritage, situated on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. Poreč is often regarded as one of the most visited tourist destinations in Croatia. So, expect bustling crowds. Marina Poreč also gets crowded, especially in the high season. The town centre is just a 5-minute walk from the marina. The marina is well protected from winds and waves by the small island of Sveti Nikola (Saint Nicholas), as well as by the 160m long breakwater and 60m long pier, where the gas station and 5t crane are positioned.  Although being mostly safe and well protected, swells are possible due to a strong north wind. The marina is open all year round.

Berths

Marina Poreč has a total capacity 129 wet and 15 dry berths. All berths are provided with water and electricity. The depth of the sea varies from 1.5 m to 3.5 m along the breakwater and piers. The entrance to the marina is 150 m wide and 3.5 m deep. For boats with a larger draft (up to 3.5m), the west part of the marina is most suitable for mooring.

Useful Information

Besides essential facilities such as a bank, post office, ambulance and such, there are also many restaurants, bars, museums and tourist attractions, which are easy to reach by foot. The marina does not provide maintenance and repair services, but mechanical assistance can be provided by the Fereli company, with which marina regularly cooperates.

The nearest airport and general hospital are in Pula, which is an hour drive from Poreč. Poreč is also well connected with other towns in Istria as well as cities such Ljubljana, Trieste and Zagreb.

When approaching Poreč, there are numerous dangers, which can be easily avoided by staying at least half a mile from the shore. If approaching from NW be careful of the rocky shoals near Barbaran islet. Also be cautious when approaching from S as there are shoals between St Nikola island and a small islet of Karbula. The narrow channel E of St Nikola island should only be approached in settled weather conditions and in a yacht of a moderate draft since the water in the channel is only 3 metres deep.
