Marina Zlatan Otok is a family-run small marina located in the small village of Sveta Nedjelja (or as the locals call it Sveta Nedilja), on the south coast of Hvar Island, approximately 12 km E from Hvar Town. Sveta Nedilja is well known for its wine tradition and beautiful vineyards, which are located on steep slopes of Sv. Nikola cliff above the village. One of the most famous wineries is Zlatan Otok winery established in 1986 by Zlatan Plenković. Besides winery, Zlatan Otok also owns marina Zlatan Otok and a nearby private accommodation. The marina is exposed to N winds (maestral) which cause waves. It is open only in summer (May/June until October).
Marina Zlatan Otok is a very small marina, mostly intended for guests visiting the vineyards nearby. It can accommodate boats up to 18 m in length with the maximum draft of 4 m. Boats up to 40 m in length can moor to the outer side of the breakwater, where the water is 7 m deep. The berths are equipped with water and electricity.
The private accommodation offering bed and breakfast is located immediately above the marina. Each room has a bathroom and 1-3 beds. The private accommodation is available from June 1 until October 1. Within the restaurant Bilo Idro, there is a unique underwater wine cellar, where wine-tastings are often organised. The restaurant is opened from May 15 until October 15.
There is a shop, restaurant and private accommodation in the small village of Sv. Nedjelja. For other facilities, such as an ambulance, pharmacy, dentist, banks, post office, police station, market, butcher’s, fish market, supermarkets and more restaurants, head over to the nearby town of Hvar.
Fuel and repair services are also available in Hvar (Križna luka).
There are many beautiful sandy beaches and secluded coves around the village of Sveta Nedjelja. There are also many climbing routes for rock climbing enthusiasts.
When approaching the marina, be careful of the Lukavci rocks (2 low islets), which are marked with a lighthouse, located about 3 km off the coast.
